I'm Alex Hensley!
I'm a policy wonk, political strategist, & organizer.
I quit my dream job leading local policy advocacy after realizing that constantly pushing for change while sacrificing my own well-being wasn’t sustainable.
The work-life balance wasn't balancing.
Most of us are conditioned to believe that creating real impact means grinding ourselves into the ground for the cause. But I’ve learned that health + joy aren't a luxury in social change work, they are a necessity.
Impactful leadership still involves sacrifice, but the only way to lead a sustainable & holistic movement is by centering well-being—yours and your community's—at the heart of the work.
